Trishuli is the most easily accessible river from Kathmandu, Pokhara and Chitwan. Trishuli white water rafting offers an excellent opportunity to observe the diversity of demography, landscapes, cultural riches of the people, flora and fauna. Depending on your interest and availability of time, the trip can be organized for 1 to 3 days with many preferring 1 or 2-day trip. Rafting is this river is an excellent river trip for those looking for a short trip, without the challenge of massive rapids but some exciting rapids and with some beautiful scenery of valleys, gorges and peaceful jungle along the trip. The intensity of the rapids during the monsoon season increases but there are sections of rafting which are suitable for simply an exciting trip.
The rafting put-in point is just about 3 to 3.50 hours drive from Kathmandu. It’s a great day tour but can be extended and well combined with other trips.
Outline Itinerary:
Day 01: Drive to Charaudi, the rafting put-in point. It’s about 3-3:30 hours’ scenic drive. Enjoy rafting for about 2 – 3 hours.
Day 02: For the rafters doing 2-day trip, the rafting continues today as well. About 2-3 hours rafting before heading to Pokhara, Chitwan or back to Kathmandu
Day 01: Drive to Charaudi, the rafting put-in point. It’s about 3-3:30 hours’ scenic drive. Enjoy rafting for about 2 – 3 hours. Enjoy the splendid views of villages, valleys, suspension bridges, tranquil forest along the way. The day ends at Kuringhat. Enjoy the evening and camp on the bank of river.

Day 02: For the rafters doing 2-day trip, the rafting continues today as well. You will encounter the Mugling and Simaltal rapids. The river Marshyangdi will meet Trishuli at Mugling and the rafting becomes more adventurous. The rafting will continue to reach Gaighat. End of the trip. You can either drive back to Kathmandu or go to Chitwan or Pokhara.
