Day 1: Arrival in Lhasa
When you arrive in Lhasa either by train or flight, your guide will greet you and take you to your hotel. Tourists may view the Yarlung Tsangpo River/ Bhamaputra river (the Longest and largest river in Tibet) and Lhasa river on their way to Lhasa. The day does not include any trip program hence you are advised to take rest for acclimatization.

Day 2: Lhasa Tour, Potala Palace, Johkang Temple, and Barkhor Street
Today’s tour will first bring you to the famous Potala Palace which is the winter palace of the Dalai Lama. The 7th Century by the 33rd great king of Tibet put it to use. The most valuable collections of Potala Palace are the gilded burial stupas of former Dalai Lamas and meditation Cave of the 33rd great king of Tibet.
The tour further includes the visit to Jokhang temple which was founded by the 33rd great king of Tibet in the 7th century. Inside you can see the statue of Buddha Sakyamuni at the age of twelve. Around the temple is Barkhor street, where you can do kora with pilgrims and locals, and explore the old market.

Day 3: Lhasa Tour, Drepung and Sera Monastery
In the morning, visit Drepung monastery which is one of great three Gelug monasteries of Tibet, founded in 1416 by Jamyang choge, one of the Tsongkhapa’s main disciples. In the Afternoon, you will visit Sera Monastery which is another Gelug monastery of Tibet. The major attraction is the Monks debate at around 3 – 5 pm in the afternoon. You could also observe Tibetan religious scripture printing house, three sand Mandalas and colorful rock painting.

Day 4: Lhasa – Shigatse via Gyantse (360km)
In the morning, drive from Lhasa to Shigatse .On the way, drive over the Gampala pass (4790 m), and you will have a glimpse of Yamdrok-Tso (4400m) .The Lake is surrounded by numerous snow-capped mountains and in the distance you can have spectacular views of Holy Mount Nyenchen Khangsar, (7191m) the highest mountain near Lhasa .
Later, passing through and enjoying the Korola Glacier on the roadside and Simila Mountain Pass at Manak Dam lake you will arrive in Gyantse, which is historically Tibet’s third largest city (after Lhasa and Shigatse). You will visit the famous Pelkor Monastery and Gyantse Kumbum and enjoy the far view of Gyangtse Fortress in Gyantse. After one and a half hour driving, you arrive in Shigatse, which is the second largest city in Tibet.

Day 5: Shigatse – Everest Base Camp (EBC) 350 km
In the morning, visit the home of Panchen Lama -the Tashilunpo Monastery and then leave for Shigatse followed by a drive to Lhatse.
After that, the tour passes through Tsola Pass(4600M), and Gyatsola Pass(5248M) and enters Mt. Everest National Nature Reserve. A beautiful panoramic view of Himalaya can be enjoyed from Gawula Pass(5198m).Then drive along the snaky road to Everest Base Camp(5200m).

Day 6: EBC–Saga (450km)
In the morning, enjoy the sunrise over Everest then as you head to saga you can view of the worlds’14th highest peak Mt. Shishapangma (8012m), and Turquoise Lake Peiku Tso(4590m). And you are very likely to see wild animals like wild donkey, wild antelope etc too.

Day 7: Saga – Darchen, via Lake Manasarover (450km)
On the way to Darchen, enjoy the stunning view of the Saga valley between Gangdise Range and Himalayan Range along with the views of the beautiful grassland and locals. Enjoy the spectacular vista of Mt. Naimonanyi (7694M) while crossing the Mayom-La pass (5112m). Then pass by the holy Lake Manasarover and to finally arrive at Darchen, the southern foot of Mt.Kailash.

Day 8: Darchen – Driraphuk (driving 7km, Trek 13km)
In the morning, taking an eco-bus from Darchen to Sarshung valley you will begin the trek (Around 13km) from Sarshung to Drirapuk Monastery along the Lachu valley and rivers. Today while trekking you can enjoy the both western and northern faces of mountain Kailash. At Driraphuk, you will visit Driraphuk Monastery.

Day 9: Driraphuk – Dzutulphuk (Trek 18km)
The trek today will go over Dromala pass (5630m), the highest pass of the Kora. While walking downhill, you will get awestruck seeing local Tibetans prostrating along the Kora path and beautiful Kadoe Lake. Also visit Dzutulphuk Monastery.

Day 10: Dzutulphuk – Darchen (Trek 7km, driving 5km)
On the third day of the kora, the walk ends after trekking 7km to Zongto from where you can take bus to Darchen. The Kora will end around noon which will give you some time to rest.
Alternatively, you could also take bath in Lake Manasarovar and enjoy hot spring.

In the morning, visit ancient Sakya town and legendary Sakya monastery that is filled with amazing murals and huge collection of scriptures and statues. That will followed by a drive to Shigatse.

Day 14: Shigatse – Lhasa
We will follow Yalong Valley back to Lhasa. On the way, you can enjoy the view of the vast Yalong River bed.
