Day 01: Arrival in Kathmandu

Upon arrival, one of our representatives will greet you at airport. The transfer to your hotel will take about half an hour. It’s going to be a free day if you arrive early. And introductory briefing about the trip will be arranged as per time permits.

Day 02: Photo tour of local markets and world heritage sites

You will start the day before your breakfast. It’s an ideal time to explore and shoot early in the morning when people come out to sell and buy daily necessities. The local markets of Ason and Indrachok become so vibrant as it seems all people of Kathmandu have thronged into this market. Besides, if you explore the small typical courtyards of Newars between the houses, you will come across the cultural and traditional activities which provide a great sight for photography.

In the afternoon visit sites like Kathmandu Durbar square and Monkey temple. At these sites, you will be seeing and not only the monuments but also the intricate architectural beauties of the medieval period. Besides, the people’s movements and activities will be the great attractions for photography.

Day 03: Tour of Khokana and Bungamati in the morning. In the later afternoon visit Boudhanath

The two ancient Newar towns of Khokana and Bungamati offer some unique photographic opportunities. Here we can observe the lifestyle of the people that truly has the feel of some medieval times. Despite their daily household chores, you will come across people involving in different traditional occupations like farming, wood carving, metal carving, weaving, knitting etc. The legendary mustard oil mill is also one of the attractions.

After the lunch and a short break, visit Boudhanath. It becomes a great site for photography in the evening with devotees circumambulating the Stupa, chanting prayers and offering butter lamps.

Day 04: Photo tour of Pashupatinath and Thimi in Bhaktapur. Drive to Nagarkot

Pashupatinath offers some great photo shooting opportunity. With ghats and Sadhus (Hindu saints), one can make unique photographs. After Pashupatinath, drive to Thimi and explore the alleys. The alleys of Thimi are numerous in number. The typical lifestyle of the people of this ancient town is full of street photographic sites. Alleys and courtyards will be occupied by the cultural, traditional and day to day happenings.

Drive to Nagarkot. It’s a nice place to immerse yourself in the nature. The beautiful sceneries of the nature will provide you with mountain and landscape photography too.

Day 05: Morning sunrise and Bhaktapur in the afternoon

You will enjoy a beautiful sunrise view. It’s not only about taking picture but also reveling in the grandeur of the nature. It’s time for some relaxation or some walk if preferred. In the afternoon, drive to Bhaktapur and shoot the cultural and architectural beauty of Bhaktapur Durbar square along with the exploration of the centuries old alleys. Drive to Kathmandu

Day 06: Spiritual tour of Dakshinkali and Pharping followed by the visit of Kirtipur

Dakshinkali is a spiritual site for Hindus where they worship the goddess Kali with animal sacrifices. The worship, celebration and offering look so colourful and lively. And the visit of caves and monastery of Pharping is another great attraction. On the way back, visit the historical city of Kirtipur and capture local lifestyle and culture.

Day 07: Departure day

End of the tour. Transfer to airport. Bid farewell and fly back home.
