One of the best trekking destinations in the entire Himalayas, Annapurna base camp trek is certainly in the bucket list of many trekkers around the world. The trek is also famously called Annapurna Sanctuary Trek as the base camp offers 360 degree view of the majestic Himalayas, revered as the abodes of the Gods and Goddesses. The trek simply offers some of the best sceneries and enthralling trekking experiences. Interestingly, just slightly above 4000m it will take you to the base camp of Mount Annapurna (8091m), one of world’s highest mountains. Walking through a diverse landscapes and culture with rich mountain vistas, terraced fields, Gurung villages with their unique cultural attributes, and wide variety of flora and fauna is a lifetime experience in the Himalaya. However, many cannot live the dream of making this marvelous journey. Although the journey to the base camp is not as strenuous as it may sound but due to the lack of proper arrangement of itinerary and day schedules, the trek becomes more unachievable especially for senior citizens, people with relatively lower fitness level and parents with their children. Taking that into consideration, this Senior Citizens Annapurna Base Camp Trek includes a relaxed and comfortable pace, less activities during the day and adequate amount of time for acclimatization. The parents who would like to trek to base camp with their children, this itinerary adds significant edge for a truly successful and enjoyable trip.
With our carefully designed trek, more-mature trekkers, trekkers with kids and the trekkers with even minor disabilities can live the dream of witnessing the grandeur of some of world’s highest mountains in front of their eyes by setting their foot on base camp of the legendary mountain. This also includes the trek to the beautiful Poon hill which is popular for the magnificent view of the Annapurna range including the massive Dhaulagiri. Besides this special itinerary, we have our regular ABC itinerary with options for being revised it as needed.
