Mardi Himal Trek is relatively a newer trekking trail in Annapurna region. The trail lies to the east of the famous Annapurna base camp trek. It is fondly known as the hidden treasure for it is still one of the least trekked area. For the ones who want to escape the busy Annapurna base camp or Ghorepani Poon hill trek, this trek is the best alternative. And the trek is immensely rewarding as it offers spectacular view of mountains and landscapes.
The trek to Mardi Himal involves the walking of approximately 5 days. It goes along the small winding trails, through unique villages and beautiful rhododendron forest before it gets out of the forest at an elevation of approx 3300m. With the change in altitude, the landscape changes uniquely into a rugged high mountain landscape with a stunning views of Mardi Himal, Machhapuchhre (Fishtail), Annapurna South, Hiunchuli and more. The trail eventually reaches the base camp of Mardi Himal which is astonishingly located at the base of Mardi Himal and Machhapuchhre (Mt Fishtail), the most iconic mountain in Annapurna region.
So, if you are on a relatively shorter holiday and would like to avoid the crowd and experience the great trekking along the serenely beautiful trails, Mardi Himal Trek is certainly for you. For the trekkers who would want to do the popular Annapurna base camp trek we offer that too.
