Situated at the height of 4718 m, this is one of the largest alpine saline Lakes which offers some breathtaking views.

Outline itinerary
Day 01: Arrival in Lhasa. Pick up and transfer to hotel. Introductory briefing
Day 02: Sightseeing in Lhasa. Visit Sera monastery, Norbulinka, Jokhang temple, Barkhor market etc.
Day 03: Sightseeing in Lhasa. Visit Potala palace, Deprung monastery etc.
Day 04: Drive to sacred Namtso lake (4718m), one of the largest salt water lake and back to Lhasa
Day 05: End of tour. Transfer to airport and fly to onward destination
Day 01: Arrival in Lhasa
Upon your arrival at Gonggar airport Lhasa, you will be greeted by our Tibetan guide. You will then be driven to Lhasa. It takes around an hour to reach old city. Check into the hotel. The day does not include any trip program hence you are advised to take rest for acclimatization.
Day 02: Sightseeing in Lhasa
After breakfast, your guide will brief you about the tour program of the day. The day is full of activities with visits to Sera monastery, Norbulinka, Jokhang temple and Barkhor market. The visits to these monuments will help you get insight into the Tibetan culture, various aspects of Tibetan Buddhism, Tibetan carving and paining, and centuries long traditional heritages.
Day 03: Sightseeing in Lhasa
Another day of sightseeing follows the morning breakfast. Today you will be visiting the legendary Potala palace. The imposing palace dominates the skyline of Lhasa. Inside the palace, you will be guided through different chambers where you can observe the Tibetan art and architecture at its best. The beautiful murals and statues with intricate carving as well as the tombs of the eight Dalai Lamas are other attractions. Later in the day, you will visit the Deprung monastery where you can observe monks and nuns chanting prayers and performing religious discourses.
Day 04: Visit to Namtso Lake (4718m) and back to Lhasa.
A round trip visit to Namtso Lakes provides an outstanding opportunity to see real Tibet. Great mountains, massive grasslands, nomadic settlements, sheep and yak herds and most importantly the serene and sacred Lake at Namtso, are what you experience. After the visit drive back to Lhasa via Yangpachen, hot spring where you can take a rest if time permits.
Day 05: End of the Lhasa tour. Fly back to onward destination.
Transfer to airport or train station for your onward travel.
