The classic Annapurna Base Camp trek, also popularly known as Annapurna Sanctuary Trek or ABC Trek is one of the most liked trekking trails in Nepal. The popularity of the trek speaks for itself that how rewarding this trek should be. It offers some of the most fascinating trekking experiences taking you into the heart of the Himalaya and also allowing you to know about the rich cultural heritages of the ethnic communities as well as the diverse flora and fauna that you come across along this marvelous Himalayan journey. It passes through remote villages, terraced fields, rhododendron & bamboo forests, foothill landscapes of Annapurna region and takes you into the icebound sanctuary of divine Annapurnas and Gangapurna that provides 360 Degree view of snow covered mountains.
This trek offers adventurers an epic opportunity to experience trekking on a trail of a great beauty and thrill. Surrounded by numerous peaks including Annapurna I II III IV& Annapurna South as well as Machhapuchhre, Gangapurna and many more that the base camp and the route it goes are also known as hidden alpine amphitheatre. One can enjoy the striking views all along the way coupled with cultural and floral diversities.

Day 01: Arrival in Kathmandu. Welcome and pick up from airport and transfer to hotel.
Day 02: Guided city tour of Kathmandu
Day 03: To Pokhara, approx 6 hours drive
Day 04: Drive to Nayapul and trek to Tikhedhunga (1570m), 5 – 6 hours
Day 05: Trek to Ghorepani (2860m), approx 7 hours
Day 06: Hike to Poon Hill (3210m) and trek to Tadapani, (2610m) 6 – 7 hours
Day 07: Trek to Chhomrong (2020m), 5-6 hours
Day 08: Trek to Himalaya, (2850m), 6-7 hours
Day 09: Trek to Annapurna Base camp (4210m) via Machhapuchhre base camp (3700m), 6-7 hours
Day 10: Trek back to Bamboo (2310m), 6-7 hours
Day 11: Trek to Jhinu Danda/Hot Spring (1780m), 5-6 hours
Day 12: Trek to Nayapul and drive back to Pokhara, 6-7 hours
Day 13: Drive back to Kathmandu
Day 14: Departure day. Transfer to airport and fly back home
Day 01: Arrival in Kathmandu
Upon arrival you will be greeted and welcomed by our representative at the airport. You will then be transferred to the hotel. A pre-departure meeting will be scheduled as time permits. During the meeting, you will be introduced to the leader/guide who will be guiding you all throughout the trek. You will also be briefed about the program that starts from the next day.

Day 02: Guided city tour of Kathmandu
Today you will be visiting various cultural, historical and architectural monuments of the Kathmandu. The centuries old monuments are full of legends and beliefs and the Durbar squares of medieval Kathmandu are full of intricate carving and superb collection of architectural riches. The qualified and experienced tour guide will lead you and show you around. The time after tour is for preparation for your trip.

Day 03: To Pokhara, approx 6 hours drive
A scenic drive of approx 6 hours will take to the beautiful lake city Pokhara. The view along the road is so dramatic with rivers, valleys, terraced fields and charming villages. After checking in to hotel and getting freshen up, you will time to explore the city. Enjoy your time and make preparation for the trip

Day 04: Drive to Nayapul and trek to Tikhedhunga (1570m), 5 – 6 hours
Initial one year is a drive by private transportation to Nayapul. From here you begin the trek along the bank of Modi River up To Birethati. The trail from here moves through villages along the northern bank of Bhurungdi River and reach Tikhedhunga. Today’s trek is easy and a prelude for the tougher next day. Overnight here.

Day 05: Trek to Ghorepani (2860m), approx 7 hours
Today you will only be climbing uphill. After crossing a suspension bridge at Tikhedhunga, the trail ascends steep stone staircases until it reaches Ulleri at 2080m, a beautiful Magar village. The trail then gently goes uphill through cultivated fields, villages and pastures. The trail further goes through beautiful forest of rhododendron and oaks and climb uphill to reach the day’s destination, Ghorepani where you are spending your night today.

Day 06: Hike to Poon Hill (3210m) and trek to Tadapani, (2610m) 6 – 7 hours
The highlight day of the trek for the hike to the famous view tower of Poon Hill located at the height of 3210 which bestows the jawdropping Himalayan panorama of the majestic Dhaulagiri, Annapurnas, Fishtail, Nilgiri, Hiunchuli and many more. The mouthwatering view will make you entire trip a worthwhile. Walk back to Ghorepani and start the trekking after the breakfast. The trek to Tadapani starts with a gentle ascent to Deurali then goes downhill through lush green forests. The view along the trail is marvelous. Tadapani is also another great place to witness the mesmerizing scenery.

Day 07: Trek to Chhomrong (2020m), 5-6 hours
The trails steeply descend down to Kimrong stream through light forest, local village and fields. The trail then gently goes up to Gurjung village, inhabited by Gurung people and then on an easier trail to Chhorong. Enjoy the fantastic close up view of Annapurna South, Hiuchuli, Machhapuchhre and more.

Day 08: Trek to Himalaya, (2850m), 6-7 hours
The trail descends via 2700 stone steps to Chhomrong stream. Cross the bridge and trek uphill to Khuldighar through beautiful rhododendron forest to reach Dovan then to Himalaya. Picturesque view will greet you all along the way.

Day 09: Trek to Annapurna Base camp (4210m) via Machhapuchhre base camp (3700m), 6-7 hours
The trail moves upward to Machhapuchhre base camp witnessing the mesmerizing views of the mountains, glaciers and landscape. The trail further ascends to Annapurna base camp, also known as Annapurna Sanctuary surrounded by lofty mountains. Splendid view of Annapurna I, Annapurna South, Barha sikhar among many others is beyond imagination. Overnight at Base camp

Day 10: Trek back to Bamboo (2310m), 6-7 hours
The trail descends same way back. It’s mainly downhill wall through forests and villages. But the amazing views will always accompany to help us keep going despite the long day.

Day 11: Trek to Jhinu Danda/Hot Spring (1780m), 5-6 hours
The trail retrieves back the same way up to Chhorong. From Chhomrong the trail drops steeply to Jhinu danda. It’s lovely place and you can also experience the natural hot spring bath on the bank of Modi River. It’s believed that natural hot spring is good for skin and can rejuvenate the exhausted muscles.

Day 12: Trek to Nayapul and drive back to Pokhara, 6-7 hours
Final day of the trek with relatively easier but long walk. An initial brief descent will be followed by a walk along the Modi river. The treks ends at Nayapul. From Nayapul, you will be driven back on a private vehicle to Pokhara. Time for relaxation in Pokhara.

Day 13: Drive back to Kathmandu
The sceneries will still accompany you on your travel from Pokhara to Kathmandu by bus. Time for relaxation and shopping in Kathmandu.
